Carlos Fernández

Sculpture

Carlos Fernández stands out in the Chilean contemporary art scene for his rigorous and evocative use of the human figure as a vessel for social and emotional inquiry. His practice, reveals a deep engagement with the body under tension—symbolizing the individual's confrontation with societal forces. Through both intimate pieces and large-scale installations, Fernández constructs a visual language of resistance and resilience.

Born in Santiago, Fernández studied at the University of Chile's Faculty of Arts before continuing his education in Europe. His return to Chile marked the beginning of a career dedicated to exploring the intersection of form, material, and social commentary through sculpture.

His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Latin America and has received critical acclaim for its technical excellence and emotional resonance.
